Near East University was represented successfully at ENDO 2016, the 98th Endocrine Society’s Annual Meeting and Expo that held in Boston, Massachusetts on 1-4 April, 2016.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Neşe Akcan from the Department of Pediatrics of Near East University Faculty of Medicine represented Near East University at the 98th Annual Meeting and Expo of Endocrine Society by presenting a case report on “Congenital Isolated ACTH Deficiency Presented with Recurrent Lower Respiratory Tract Infections”.

Touching upon the significance of representing our country and Near East University at such outstanding international platforms, Asst. Prof. Dr. Neşe Akcan, lecturer at the Department of Pediatrics of Near East University Faculty of Medicine, expressed her feelings and impressions regarding the issue. “I am extremely proud and happy that I had the opportunity to represent my country and university by presenting a case report at ENDO 2016, which is one of the world’s most prestigious conferences. The 100-year-old Endocrine Society is the world’s oldest, largest and most active global membership organization representing professionals from the field of endocrinology. It has more than 17,000 members from over 120 countries. Presenting my study at the annual meeting of such an outstanding organization made me very happy” said she.

What is Endocrine Society?

The Endocrine Society is an international medical organization in the field of endocrinology and metabolism that founded in 1916. Medical doctors, scientists, researchers and educators constitute the majority of the society’s members. This 100-year-old medical organization is the largest global membership organization in the field of endocrinology.
