The 3rd North Cyprus Emergency Medicine Days Symposium, which was organized cooperatively by Nursing Department of NEU Faculty of Health Sciences, Emergency Medicine Department of Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine and Paramedic Association, was held in the conference hall of NEU AKKM under the host of Near East University.
The symposium began with stand in silence and followed by national anthem and a mini piano recital performed by the Music Teaching Department of Atatürk Faculty of Education.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümran Dal Yılmaz, Head of Nursing Department of NEU Faculty of Health Sciences, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Özhaseneker, lecturer at Emergency Medicine Department of Yıldırım Beyazıt University Faculty of Medicine, Ahmet Hamdi Alpakan, Chairman of Paramedic Association, and Prof. Dr. Şenol Bektaş, Vice Rector of NEU, delivered the opening remarks of the symposium respectively.
In her opening remarks, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ümral Dal Yılmaz voiced her happiness regarding the intensive participation. “I would like to express that the high demand and intensive participation has given us great enthusiasm and energized us for the symposia that we will realize in future” said she.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation is the main theme of our symposium
Touching upon the necessity of updating clinical guidelines at regular intervals in order to make the best suggestions available for health workers, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dal underlined that they had determined Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation as the main theme of the symposium in order to bring a closer insight into the renovations and advances in resuscitation science.
