Near East University Faculty Member Associate Professor Burak Gökbulut refereed in the International Journal of Uyghur Studies, which is an internationally published, scientific, peer-reviewed journal having a prominent place in the field of social sciences.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that the International Journal of Uyghur Studies, which is published as two issues per year in June and December by the Faculty of Arts and Sciences of Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University and scanned in international databases and indexes such as Arastirmax, Erihplus, Asos, Info Base Index, MIAR, Sparch Indexing, MLA, I2OR, Turkish Educational Index, Ideal Online, and Sobiad, had been sent to libraries and international index institutions.

Associate Professor Burak Gökbulut explains that International Journal of Uyghur Studies fulfills a very important function in revealing the cultural richness of Uyghur Turks within scientific criteria by providing information flow by publishing scientific studies regarding Uighurs. "International Journal of Uyghur Studies is an open access peer-reviewed journal which publishes academic articles, collections, book promotions and translations in the fields of language, literature, folklore, history, art, culture, economics about Uighurs and other Turkish tribes (Kazakh, Kirghiz, Uzbek, etc.)" said he.
