Departments of Gastronomy, Mechatronic Engineering, Employee Health and  Occupational Safety have been opened at the Near East University

Near East University has added two undergraduate and 1 associate degree programs to its existing 160 departments. It was expressed that the University holds 16 faculties, 5 vocational schools and 160 departments and for the 2015-2016 academic year, the NEU has been the most preferred university to study in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC); and that very recently, it had added departments of gastronomy, mechatronic engineering and employee health and occupational safety with the necessary authorization and approvals of YÖK (Higher Education Board of Turkey) and YÖDAK (Higher Education Board of the TRNC).

According to the press info release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the Department of Mechatronic Engineering is included to the NEU Faculty of Engineering; Department of Employee Health and Occupational Safety will be under the body of Health Services Vocational School; and Gastronomy will be included to the Tourism and Hotel Management School and that these programs were to officially start in the 2016-2017 academic year.
