Assoc. Prof. Dr. Murat TÜZÜNKAN
Vice Rector

After completing his primary, secondary and high school education in Lefkoşa, he studied history at the Middle East Technical University (METU) in Ankara, Turkey. He completed his MA at the METU at the Department of International Relations. In 2007, he completed his graduate education on International Relations at the Middle East Technical University with a PhD. in International Relations, the title of his thesis being “The Cyprus Question: Continuity, Transformation and Tendencies”.
Currently he is an Associate Professor at the Department of International Relations of the Near East University.

He worked in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey between the years of 1996–1999. Since 2013, he has been working at Near East University as a Vice Rector.
