Prof. Dr. Meltem Nalça ANDRIEU

Prof. Dr. Meltem Nalça Andrieu was born in Ankara in 1963. She graduated from Medical School of Ankara University in 1987. She completed her residency in the Radiation Oncology Department of Ankara University in 1993. She studied first time in Turkey “3-Dimensional Radiotherapy Planning” as her thesis of speciality in medicine and she had been one of the pioneers of using advanced technologies for the treatment of cancer. She worked as a specialist in Ankara Demetevler Oncology Hospital until 1999. During that period, she visited and got training in the radiation oncology and brachytherapy departments of Royal Marsden Hospital in London, Institut Paoli Calmette in Marseille and InstıtutGustave-Roussy in Paris. She was back to the Radiation Oncology Department of Ankara University in 1999 as a lecturer and became an assistant professor in 2002.

She had the title of associate professor in 2005 and assigned as a professor in 2010 in the same department which she worked until 2012. Since May 2012 she has been working in Radiation Oncology Department of Near East University Hospital and she currently continues working as the Chairman of the same department. She is also the coordinator of the Radiotherapy Technician Program of Near East Vocational School of Health Services.

Prof. Dr. Meltem Nalça Andrieu attended 12 international and 24 national scientific courses about her speciality. She had worked especially on breast cancer, gynecological cancers, brachytherapy and gastrointestinal cancers. She had been invited to many national and international congresses and meetings as a speaker or chairman. She has more than a total of 60 scientific articles and book chapters in national and international journals and books. She has been in advisory board of some national and international journals and member of many national and international scientific medical societies
