Prof. Dr. Adile ÖNİZ

Prof. Dr. Adile Öniz graduated from Ege University Faculty of Medicine in 1990. After completing her Ph.D. in Biophysics in 2006, she became an associate professor in the field of Biophysics in 2010 and obtained the title of professor in 2015. Her primary research areas include brain biophysics, electrophysiology, memory, learning, and brain responsiveness in pathologies. Additionally, she has received therapist training in Psychodrama and Group Psychotherapies from the Abdulkadir Özbek Institute.

She played a pioneering role in the establishment of various master's and doctoral programs, including the first Sleep and Consciousness States basic and clinical master's programs in Turkey. From 2013 to 2019, she contributed to the preparation of the Advanced Biomedical Technologies Industrial Ph.D. Program - Biomedical Researcher Training Program and served as the coordinator for the Health Campus.

Between 2012 and 2019, she served as a founding board member and general secretary of Dokuz Eylül University Sleep and Consciousness States Technology Application and Research Center. She also held the position of Health Technopark Coordinator at Dokuz Eylül Technology Development Inc. and was involved in the establishment of Dokuz Eylül University Biomedical Metrology and Calibration Application and Research Center, where she served as Deputy Director from 2012 to 2015.

She held various administrative positions, such as being a member of the Board of Directors of Dokuz Eylül University Institute of Health Sciences from 2013 to 2016 and serving as the Chair of the Department of Biophysics at Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Medicine from 2013 to 2019.

She took on the role of project coordinator in the Izmir Health Technologies Developer and Accelerator (BioIzmir) Project under the İzmir Development Agency (İZKA) Guided Project Support. Additionally, she served as the project manager for Dokuz Eylül Technology Transfer Office (DETTO) Project within the scope of the TÜBİTAK 1513 support program and as the deputy coordinator for the Dokuzgen Informatics Platform project.

She provided training as part of the Dokuz Eylül Entrepreneurship Academy Entrepreneurship Certificate Program. From 2014 onwards, she actively participated in the conceptualization, design, and publication of the "Dokuz Eylul University Journal of Research and Innovation (DERIN)," serving as the responsible editor for DEÜ and DEPARK. She has numerous publications and citations in national and international indexes.
