Workshop themed "Improving Quality and Milk Fat in Cattle, Improving Quantity and Quality of Milk Production in Small Ruminants" was held at the Grand Library Conference Hall of Near East University under the auspices of Ministry of Agriculture, Natural Sources and Food and with contribution of TRNC Milk Industry Foundation, Union of Livestock Producers and Growers and NEU Faculty of Veterinary.

The workshop started with opening speeches of Erkut Şahali, Minister of Agriculture, Natural Sources and Food, Prof. Dr. Ömer Memduh Esendal, Dean of Faculty of Veterinary and Fide Kürşat, Director of SÜTEK. Minister of Agriculture, Natural Sources and Food emphasized in his speech that academic knowledge and experience is extremely important in agriculture and livestock production, and coordination between the relevant partners is also important for increasing the productivity and efficiency. Fide Kürşat, Director of SÜTEK, emphasized in her speech that they are always in support of the producers and growers, and they have started a series of studies to improve the quality of production and increase the competition ability in market. Prof. Dr. Esendal pointed out in his speech that they are always ready to provide the producers and relevant stakeholders in the sector with scientific support on diseases and other relevant issues.
