A panel titled "The Place of the Producing Woman in Society" was organized by the Atatürk Education Faculty of Near East Universityon on March 8, International Women's Day. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çiğdem Hürsen moderated the panel. The speakers of the panel were Mrs. Meral Akıncı, the wife of the President of the TRNC and KAYAD Community Center, Chairman of the Center of Excellence of NEU, Dr. Nedime Serakıncı, and Hatice Tezcan, actress from the Nicosia Municipal Theater.
