Students who want to prepare for the exam will be able to attend the preparation course, which will be given free of charge by the Near East University Music Teaching instructors, between 13-17 June.

The talent exam, which will be held by the Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education, Fine Arts Education Music Teaching Department for undergraduate, graduate and doctoral students, will be held on 20-21 June. Talent exams for the TRNC and Turkish citizens who want to study in the YOK and YODAK approved program will be held online on Monday, 20 June and will be held face-to-face at 10:00 on Tuesday, June 21.

Students who want to take the exam will be able to submit their applications to the Near East University and its representatives, as well as online and over the phone. Application requirements and the content of the exams have been announced
The application requirements and content of the exam, of which face-to-face section will be held at the Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education, Education Palace Entrance Floor, Music Teaching Department Orchestra Class, have also been announced.

The TRNC citizen students who will apply to the Near East University Music Teaching Undergraduate Program must get a passing score from the Near East University entrance exam; According to the TYT exam results, Turkish citizen candidates must be within the 800 thousand threshold.

The content of the exam consists of one voice, double voice, three voices, four voices, interval and chord repetition, tonal/modal melody, rhythm repetition, singing the National Anthem, singing a song or folk song prepared by the student, a piece that the student will play with his/her own instrument, and an interview.

The talent exam for master’s and doctorate students consists of a written exam on music education and music theory, an oral interview and an instrument exam. In the instrument exam, the student has to play an etude and a piece with his own instrument.

Students applying for the talent exam must include their Name-Surname, Graduated School/City, Telephone Number and e-mail address information in their application e-mails. In addition, prospective students are required to submit their request to take the exam face-to-face or online in the pre-registration application.

Free preparation course for talent exams
A free course will also be carried out by the Near East University Music Teaching instructors for the talent exams to be held. Within the scope of the course, between 10:00-13:00, every day between 13-17 June 2022; lessons on instrument, theory, singing and hearing education will be given. The preparatory course will also be open to all students who want to prepare for the exams of music teaching departments, conservatories and music departments of different institutions.
