Coordinator of ORSAM (Centre for Middle Eastern Strategic Studies) Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haldun Yalçınkaya spoke to the Security Academy of Near East University Near East Institute.

As part of the framework of the Certificate Program of the Security Academy, which was organised by the Near East Institute of Near East University; Centre for the Middle Eastern Strategic Studies Coordinator and Academic Member of the TOBB University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haldun Yalçınkaya gave a seminar on ‘the impact of international security evolution on Turkey and on the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the “Security Academy” which was organised by the Near East Institute was completed over 12 weeks and the concept of security was investigated from multiple perspectives. As part of this certificate program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Haldun Yalçınkaya gave a seminar on international security structures, relative approaches and basic dynamics, and the impacts that these issues make on Turkey and on the TRNC.

Yalçınkaya: In the current status, we are expecting “secure places” to gain more importance than “conflict areas”.
