The first issue of the “International Social Sciences and Art Studies Journal”, prepared by the Near East University Communication Research Center, has been published. The journal includes interdisciplinary art and communication studies in Social Sciences and Art Studies.

The International Social Sciences and Art Studies Journal, which plans to give priority to academic studies on individuals with special needs and academic publications on museology, also stands out with nationally and internationally renowned academics on its boards.

Head of the Near East University Communication Research Center and editor-in-chief of the journal Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap said that the articles received from about 15 different universities were accepted by the double-blind referee application after going through the editorial process.

Stating that each issue of the journal will be prepared by a different editor-in-chief, Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap stated that the first issue was prepared under the executive editorship of Lecturer Murat Cem Acralp and published with eight articles.

Preparations for the second issue of the magazine have begun
The second issue of the journal “International Social Sciences and Art Studies” will be published in April 2022. It was announced that the Center started accepting articles for the second issue to be published under the editorship of Communication Studies Center Vice President Dr. Serkan Fundalar. Necessary applications and studies are underway to have the journal, which will take its place on the DergiPark platform with its second issue, to be scanned by international indexes.

In the first issue of the International Journal of Social Sciences and Art Studies, the following articles have been included; “Hate Speech in New Media and Football Culture in Turkey”, “Analysis of Feyzi Tuna’s Women’s Films Trilogy from the Perspective of Feminist Theory”, “Psychosocial Evaluation of the Covid-19 Process”, “The Struggle for Existence in the Peripheries of the City: Individual and Space in Cinema in the Process of Urban Transformation Narratives”, “The Views of English Teachers on Course Supervision and Supervisors: The Example of TRNC”, “A Political Economy Overview of Alienation and Identity Problems in Modern Disciplinary Societies in the Context of Habermas’ Concept of Bourgeois Public Space”, “The Effect of Political Islam on Cinema in Iran” and ” Ethical Violations in New Media: The Izmir Earthquake Example”
