Playing its fourth match of the play-off series of the Turkish Basketball League, Women’s Basketball Team of Near East University lost the game played against Fenerbahçe with a score of 79- 72. With this outcome, the series has been equated as 2-2. The fifth and the last match of the series, which will be played at Caferağa Sports Hall will determine the champion of the 2016-2017 season.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the NEU Women’s Basketball Team lost the match played against Fenerbahçe; competing with its players Courtney Vandersloot, Kayla Mcbride, Quanitra Hollingsworth, Elin Eldebrink and Angelica Robinson.

It was pointed out that the fifth and the last match of the series will be played on Wednesday at Caferağa Sports Hall.

Women’s Basketball Team of Near East University:

Quanitra Hollingsvorth scored 27 points and 11 rebounds; Courtney Vandersloot scored 20 points and 1 rebound and 11 assists; Kayla McBride scored 15 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists; Elin Eldebrink scored 4 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists, and Bahar Çağlar scored 6 points, 7 rebounds and 2 assists.

On the other hand, women’s basketball team of Fenerbahçe:

Birsel Vardarlı Demirmen scored 24 points, 8 rebounds, 8 assists; Candace Parker scored 24 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists; Jantel Levander scored 5 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists; Sandrine Gruda scored 12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists; and Alexandria Quigley scored 14 points, 1 rebound and 6 assists.
