“Technology Leadership” Award goes to Near East University

Near East University was awarded with the "Technology Leadership Award" for its projects conducted in information, communication and innovation areas.

The "Technology Leadership Award" of Priestene AAB University, which is one of the largest universities in Kosovo, was given to Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Günsel, Chairman of Board of Trustees of Near East University, at the 7th World Conference on Education Technologies and Computer Science.

Kosovo Minister of Education, Science and Technology Dr. Arinc Bajrami emphasizing that the achievements of Near East University in fields of communication, knowledge and innovation should be regarded as solid examples in the education world, congratulated Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Suat Günsel for being granted the Technology Leadership Award.

According to the press information released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, Vice Rector of Priestene AAB University presented the "Technology Leadership Award" to Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Uzunboylu, Dean of Ataturk Education Faculty, on behalf of Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Günsel, Chairman of Board of Trustees of NEU, after the opening speeches of the conference which was jointly organized by Near East University and Priestene AAB University.

Education, Science and Technology Minister Bajrami said that the organization should be appreciated and congratulated as a flawless cooperation and collaboration carried out between the AAB University and the Near East University in realizing this important event. Minister Bajrami said, "Such organizations are important factors not only for the universities but also for the development level of the country and for raising the scientific standards. In the future, Kosovo will be able to achieve a level to lead other countries in the region in the field of education and stand out as one of the most important centres of education "

Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Uzunboylu, Dean of Atatürk Education, also presented a plaque to Minister of Education, Science and Technology of Kosovo, Dr. Arsim Barjami for his invaluable contributions for realization of the conference throughout which over 100 presentations were made by participants coming from 22 countries including Turkey, Australia, America, UK, Israel, Russia, Albania, Macedonia, Russia, Bulgaria and Iran.

In addition, messages of the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Pristine, His Excellency Kıvılcım Kılıç and Pristina Mayor Shpend Ahmeti, wishing success were also shared.
