28 students which achieved the Suat Gunsel Scholarship at the Near East College Entrance Exam visited the Founding Rector of the Near East University, Dr. Suat İ.Günsel.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Principal of the Near East College Işılay ARKAN; Deputy Principal Alpay ERTAÇ; Vice Principals Ömer ÖZKAN, Sait BAKİ, Fırat DENİZ and Ertaç UÇANER along with the 28 students which achieved the Suat Gunsel Scholarship at the Near East College Entrance exam visited the Founding Rector of the Near East University...

Making a speech during the visit, the Founding Rector of Near East University, Dr. Suat İ. Günsel, congratulated the students for their achievements and emphasised that this achievement was reached as a result of hard work. He emphasised that this achievement should not been perceived as a simple task, but rather perceived as an indication of their potential in making future achievements. Dr. Suat İ. Günsel stressed that he particularly wanted to see the children; and that he was at least excited as the students themselves.

Dr.Günsel: Be aware that you are each unique and are each very hard working individuals! Once you are aware of this, there is nothing you cannot achieve!”

Dr. Suat Gunsel stated that the students should be aware of their own potentials and they could be anything they wanted to be in the future. He emphasised that if an individual was aware of his/her own capabilities, nothing could stop that person from being whatever they wished to be. He reminded the students that we were not living in a big country in Europe and that the most important sector on the island was higher education. In this regard, thee students of today were the individuals who were later to make a contribution to this filed and represent the Turkish Cypriots via achievements.

Dr. Suat İ.Günsel stated that he had never boasted with what he had realized, and that he preferred to boast on issues yet to be accomplished. He emphasised that the children may not be able to comprehend the true meaning of this expression, but they were sure to grasp it in the future. He advised the children to be aware of their own potentials and success would definitely follow; such that they may be individuals who produces sciences and introduces it to the world.

Subsequent to the above, the Founding Rector of Near East University, Dr.Suat İ.Günsel presented a certificate of achievement to each student who achieved the Suat Gunsel Scholarship. The visit reached an end subsequent to the photo which was taken all together.
