Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı participated in the International Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School

Head of Near East University Faculty of Medical Genetics and Faculty of Arts and Sciences Department of Molecular Biology and Genetics, Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı participated as a host speaker to the 14th “Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School” which is organised by Istanbul University.

The event titled as Molecular Biology and Genetics Winter School is said to be an event to which a high number of international scientists contribute to from countries all over the world. Furthermore, it was expressed that so far the event had brought around 7000 students and 150 academicians together.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the event was held on 3-5 March at Istanbul University and the main theme of the event was regarding developments in the field of Molecular Biology and Genetics. Moreover, it was stated that Head of NEU Genetic Society of Sena Özşen and Sude İncirli had also participated in the Winter School in which a total of 13 presentations and 2 panels were presented.

Students will be supported so as to enable them to continue to participate in such scientific events...

Making a statement on the matter, Near East University Dean of Students Office Assoc. Prof Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz expressed that it was rather pleasing to see the students of Genetic Society, which functions under the body of Student Deanship, participate in such significant scientific organisations. She added that this contributed to their development and were willing to support students to continue to participate in such events in the future.
