Yakın Doğu Üniversitesi Tarafından Hazırlanan “Güvenli Yarınlar İçin Güvenli Okul Klavuzu” Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı’na Sunuldu

Functioning under the body of Centre of Excellence of Near East University, Communal Research and Development Centre developed a project jointly with Near East Institute on “Safe-Schools”. The booklet of the project, acting as safe-school guide, was prepared by Aytaç Tokel and was prepared to make a significant contribution to establishing safe-schools in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the “Safe School” project guide included safety in social, psychological and physical conditions of schools. The prepared guide was presented to the Ministry of National Education of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus by member of Near East University Aytaç Tokel.

The booklet which was presented to the Ministry provided information on strategic plans to create peaceful and amicable environments in schools. Furthermore, it provided insights into creating the culture of organisation, safe school climate and related issues which need to be renewed and improved at schools.

It was revealed that Head of Centre of Excellence of Near East University Prof. Dr. Nedime Serakıncı; Heads of Centre of Communal Research and Development Assoc. Prof. Zehra Altınay and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fahriye Altınay; Head of Department of Education and Management of Near East University Assoc. Prof Dr. Gökmen Dağlı; Head of Near East Institute Assoc. Prof. Dr. Umut Koldaş; Assist. Prof. Dr. Behcet Öznaçar, Aytaç Tokel and Safe-School Project Coordinator of Bahçeşehir University Osman Öztürk all contributed to the safe-school project guide that was presented to the Ministry of National Education.
