NEU Faculty of Divinity begins education in its new building

Just after producing its first graduates, in spring term of the academic year 2015-2016, NEU Faculty of Divinity will continue to offer education in its new building; former faculty building of maritime studies.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Prof. Dr. İbrahim Çapak, Dean of Faculty of Divinity, stated that NEU Faculty of Divinity would move to its new building. “As the first divinity faculty of Cyprus, NEU Faculty of Divinity, which continues education periodically with approximately 500 students, will continue to offer education in its new building and carry out other activities that have already become a tradition” said he.

Underlining that they had been organizing Mesnevi seminars and music programs along with Wednesday Conferences for almost three years, Professor Çapak stated that Mesnevi seminars that presented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sezai Küçük, music programs that executed by maestro Prof. Dr. A. Hakkı Turabi as well as Wednesday Conferences would continue to be held in the Blue Hall of the new faculty building

The first Mesnevi Program of Spring Term is on the 17th of February

According to the press release, conferences and panels would be organized weekly after realizing the first Mesnevi program of spring term on February 17, 2016. Besides, a workshop on “Afterlife Understanding of Arabs of Pre-Islamic Age of Ignorance” would be realized with presentations by the experts of the field.
