Near East University's "Occupational Health and Safety" Fall Semester programs certified by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, covering the duties, authorities, responsibilities, rights and obligations of employers and employees, health surveillance at workplaces, health and safety rules, and occupational health and safety management and organization safety trainings will start on October 4, 2021.
In accordance with the regulation of "Certification of Persons Providing Occupational Health and Safety Services and Authorization of Organizations", all trainings authorized and certified by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security after completing the necessary requirements, will be carried out within the framework of the health measures determined by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
Near East University, with its expert trainer staff and strong infrastructure, is carrying out all the training programs stipulated by the curriculum, and in 2020 two "Occupational Health and Safety Specialization Courses", two "Basic Occupational Health and Safety Courses", and two "Construction Occupational Health and Safety Courses", one “Certificate Renewal Course” and one “Occupational Health and Safety Trainer Training Course” have been completed.
Theoretical and practical training together
Within the scope of the Occupational Health and Safety Trainings to be given by the Near East University Occupational Health and Safety Institute, "Basic Occupational Health and Safety Training" and "OHS Trainer's Training" programs will be held for occupational health and safety experts. In these trainings, basic theoretical and practical information will be given. Occupational Health and Safety Trainings, which include important topics such as creating healthy and safe working environments, preventing work accidents and occupational diseases, risk assessment, OHS training techniques for adults, will be conducted by the expert training staff of Near East University by using interactive training methods.

Stating that the Near East University has fulfilled all the issues in the regulation of "Certification of Persons Providing Occupational Health and Safety Services and Authorization of Organizations", Gürpınar said that Near East University, which is authorized by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security as an Occupational Health and Safety Training Institution, will continue such programs in the fall semester of 2021, and also said that the courses will start on October 4, 2021.
