Near East University Women’s Basketball Team is hosting Galatasaray

Near East University Women's Basketball Team will take the court versus Galatasaray for the 15th week match of Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League (TWBSL) at Mamak Municipality Sports Hall at 14:00 on Saturday January 16, 2015.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press & Public Relations Office of Near East University, team’s coach İlker Gözeneli and the team players Simay Karaman and Kelsey Bone expressed their views regarding the match.

İlker Gözeneli: “Each match is like a final match for us”

Near East University Women’s Basketball Team coach İlker Gözeneli stated that they wanted to achieve different and better results in the second half of the league than those of the first half of the league. “We will play a challenging match versus Galatasaray which is one of the strongest team of the league. Since each match is like a final match for us, we prepare intensively for the matches. All teams playing in Turkish Women’s Basketball Super League are very strong; we are an assertive team as well. The results that we have had so far are not the results that we desired. We are completing our preparations to achieve the results that we desire. We want to win the match” said he.

Simay Karaman: “We will fight with all our might”

NEU Women’s Basketball Team player Simay Karaman stated that they got ready intensively for Galatasaray match. “Galatasaray is a tough opponent. We got ready for the match with the awareness of this. I think it will be a high tempo match. We have had undesired results and losing streak in last matches, we want to put an end to this. We will play out our skin at the match versus Galatasaray” said she.

We prepared for the match with intensive practices

NEU Women’s Basketball Team player Kelsey Bone expressed her views regarding the match: “We want to achieve better and more satisfactory results than the results of the first half of the week. As a team, we combat well. We want to leave the basketball court with the results that we deserve. Galatasaray is a hard nut to crack; being aware of this fact, we prepared for the match with intense practices. I think the audience will match and enjoy a high tempo match. With our teammates, we will fight to be the winner of the match” said she.
