Near East University with two presentations was represented at the 11th International Conference on Social Sciences that held in Helsinki, the capital city of Finland, in January.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of the Near East University, 265 researchers and teaching staff from 38 different countries across the globe participated in the 11th International Conference on Social Sciences that organized by EUSER (European Center for Science Education and Research) and held in Aalto University-Helsinki on 20-21 January 2017. It was stated that Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Köprülü from, Head of the Department of Political Science of the Near East University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, made a special presentation at the opening ceremony that held in Room A 301 on 20 January 2017.

Social democratization processes of the Middle East and North Africa were explained

During the opening ceremony of ICSS 2017, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Köprülü made a special presentation on “Middle East after Arab Rebellions”. In her presentation, she discussed the impacts of social movements on democratization processes and regional politics of the reshaping Middle East and North Africa after Arab rebellions.
