The graduation ceremony of the Near East University School of Health Sciences for the academic year 2015-2016 has been realized with great joy and excitement!
It was revealed that the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S.Günsel; Vice Rector of NEU Prof.Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ; Head of NEU School of Health Sciences Prof. Dr. Nail Bulakbaşı; Member of Managing Board of Near East University Hospital Ahmet Savaşan; Deans and Academic Members of the NEU; students and guests had attended the graduation ceremony.
Prof. Dr. Bulakbaşı; “We are honoured to make our 450 graduates to join the rest of the members of health”
Making an opening speech, Head of School of Health Sciences of Near East University Prof. Dr. Nail Bulakbaşı stated that the School of Health Sciences was established with the aim to raise competent and well qualified individuals to serve the field of health; and that it started off its educational journey with 2 departments and 34 students in 2011. He added that currently, the School was giving 450 graduates in its 7th semester since establishment.
Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ; "You will preserve national values and become individuals who internalise international and ethical values, and be able to work creatively and cooperatively in groups within the field of health!”
Also making a speech, Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ stated that while the students work to make their careers, they as the students’ teachers, as their colleagues will always be there to support them. Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ ended his words by wishing the graduates future success and all the best in their lives.
Subsequent to the speeches, graduates with outstanding achievements were presented a medal and their diplomas. It was expressed that the highest achievement of the 7th Semester was made by Sevim Özdemir; first runner up became Fatma Yiğit and second runner up became Kezban Ay who were al presented their medals and diplomas by the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan S. Günsel.
