Near East University Robotic Football Team’s Second Match at RoboCup 2019 results with a triumph over Japanese Team National Institute of Technology…

Participating in RoboCup 2019 held in Sydney, Australia, and competing in Group B, Near East University Robotic Football Team recently played and won its second match against Japan, National Institute of Technology.

It was stated that during the training which Near East University Robotic Football Team before the match, the changing forces due to abrasion in carpet of match field were calculated and relative fine calculations of algorithms that control artificial robots were adjusted.

Near East University Robotic Football Team made a pre-tournament match and beat Japanese Team, National Institute of Technology with a score of 4-1.

In the first half of the match played at RoboCup 2019, NEU played rather active football and ended the first half of the match as 2-0.  Then, near the second half of the match Near East University Robotic football team had a more defensive game approach and the opposing team scored a goal. The game ended with the triumph of NEU with a score of 2-1.


This became the first goal given away by Near East University Robot Soccer Team within the last 8 official World Cup matches played.

It was pointed out that subsequent to the match, Near East University Robotic Football team had two training sessions and by doing pass and shoot trainings, they made preparations to the next match to be played against Canadian team University of British Colombia.
