Near East University Represented in Stem Cell Symposium in Manisa

Members of Experimental Health Sciences Research Center (DESAM), Near East University, participated in the 3rd. International Stem Cell Symposium held by Manisa Celal Bayar University.

According to the press statement made by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, the symposium, of which the main theme is 'New Approaches to Stem Cell Applications in Specialized Treatment of Individuals', attended by participants from Ukraine, Portugal, Germany, Sweden and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Over 120 speakers from different universities including the Near East University participated at the Symposium.

At the symposium, members of DESAM, Assist. Prof. Dr. Eda Becer and Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmut Çerkez Ergören made their presentations on 'Isolation and Characterization of Human Circumcision Stem Cells', 'Genome Cut and Paste: CRISPR Approach for Personalized Medicine'.
