Near East University New Generation Engineers were awarded their diplomas

Near East University Faculty of Engineering graduation ceremony for the Spring Term of the Academic Year 2016-2017 was realised at Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre with a high number of participation by academicians, students and guests.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Sadıkoğlu; Dean of Faculty of Engineering Prof.Dr.Sümer Şahin; other faculty deans, students and families attended the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Engineering which took place at the NEU Atatürk Culture and Congress Centre.

The ceremony continued with a mini concert given by Academic Staff of the Faculty of Engineering Assist. Prof. Dr. Kamil Dimiller; Research Assistants, Bahir Çetinkaya and Derviş Paşa, Eyip Kavalcı and Zeki Erenköy.

Prof. Dr. Şahin; “Our Faculty has students from 40 different countries.”

Making a statement on the matter Prof.Dr.Sümer Şahin stated that the Faculty of Engineering from 40 different countries. He further stated that therefore the graduates of the faculty distributed to many different areas around the world. He thanked the academic staffs of the faculty who work hard to educate the students with high standards. Prof. Dr. Sümer Şahin ended his words by whishing the graduates best of luck in their future lives.

Prof. Dr. Fahreddin Sadıkoğlu; “Everything visually seen around us is the product of engineers!”

Vice Rector of Near East University Prof. Dr. Fahrettin Sadıkoğlu also made a speech and addressed the students. He stated that they were about to graduate from one of the biggest faculties of Near East University and that the field of engineering was a broad field.

He added that everything which could be visually seen around us was the product of engineers.

Subsequent to the above mentioned speeches, Faculty First (the highest GPA) Rida İdlibi was awarded a gold medal for the achievement and was awarded the diploma by Vice Rector Prof.Dr. Fahreddin Sadıkoğlu. It was pointed out that the graduation ceremony ended by graduates tossing caps in the air.
