Near East University is getting ready for Orientation Days for New Students

Near East University Deaners of Student Affairs is going to organize the Orientation Days of 2018-2019 Academic Year Fall Semester for new students from 24 September to 3 October 2018. Students will be welcomed and enrolled in Orientation Days organized to welcome new students to Near East University and get used to the university life in Northern Cyprus.

According to the press information given by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, new students coming to the Near East University will be met at Ercan Airport and on the Near East University campus and placed in their dormitories during Orientation Days where different and entertaining activities will also take place.

During the Orientation Days, which aim to enrich, facilitate and improve the life of the university for new students, a variety of activities and events will be organized to introduce the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus to new students, to support the students' integration process with the university and the environment, and to help them recognize the structure and potentials of the university.

Within the scope of the Orientation Days, students will be invited to a breakfast event on September 24, 2018 and they will be delivered a speech on "Everything About the Near East". Students will meet the people responsible for the different units of the university and will have the opportunity to obtain detailed information about the campus life. Within the scope of the program, on 25th of September 2018, an Open Air Cinema Night will be held where Campus Tour and Near East University will be featured at the courtyard of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences


Cultural trips to be organized...
Within the Orientation Program, cultural tours throughout the country will be organized for the new comers and their families to better understand the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. On the 26th of September, students will tour Nicosia to better define the city where their education life will continue and last. The students attending to the tour will have the opportunity to visit the historical and touristic places of Nicosia, Barbarism Museum, The Grand Inn, Selimiye Mosque, Arasta / Bedesten, Dr. Fazıl Küçük Monument, and Rauf Raif Denktas Monument. Within the scope of the tour program, on 27th of September, Bellapais Monastery along with other historical and tourist places of Kyrenia, the St. Ömer Tomb, Kyrenia Castle, Kyrenia Ancient Harbour, Karaoğlanoğlu Cemetery, Yavuz Landing Beach will be visited.


Students will get closer with the Welcome Party...
The 2018 - 2019 Academic Year Fall Semester Orientation Program, which will be held by the Deanery of Student Affairs of Near East University, will end with the Welcome Party to be held on September 28. The students newly coming to the university will have the opportunity to meet the administrative and academic units and the student clubs, and have the chance to converge in a social environment. There will be presentations of student clubs and carried out various games, dance shows, music bands and concerts.
