Within the scope of the "Life at the University" course activities that periodically organized at the Department of Radio, TV and Cinema of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University every week, Associate Professor Ahmet Güneyli gave a seminar on effective communication.

The Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University released that Associate Professor Ahmet Güneyli, lecturer at Atatürk Faculty of Education of Near East University, attended the course at the Orange Hall at the Faculty of Communication and gave a seminar under the title of "Two Vital Skills in Interpersonal Communication: Listening and Speaking”.

Associate Professor Güneyli touched upon the need for communication that started with birth and emphasized the benchmarks required for an effective communication. The seminar attracted the interest of the attending body including faculty members and students.

Underlining that listening properly was as important as speaking; Associate Professor Güneyli indicated that effective communication had two facets; listening and speaking. He also drew attention to the necessity of establishing healthy communication in every process of our lives, giving appropriate messages in our conversations as adult individuals to encourage the children and adolescents to gain self-confidence. He also pointed out the crucial role of selecting words carefully in establishing effective communication.

At the end of the seminar, Associate Professor Fevzi Kasap, the Chairman of the Department of Radio, TV and Cinema, presented a certification of thanks to Associate Professor Ahmet Güneyli.
