The triumph of Near East University Women’s Basketball Team brought the Near East University graduates together for a celebration. NEU Women’s basketball team returned to the island very recently, bringing the cup they won at the Turkish Basketball League , playing a final match against Bellona AGÜ.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University; Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Günsel joined the Near East University Graduates as they celebrated the success of the NEU Women’s Basketball Team.

Furthermore, it was pointed out that Vice Rector of Near East University Prof. Dr. Şenol Bektaş; Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Near East University Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Tüzünkan; Director of Health, Culture and Sports Centre Assist. Prof. Dr. Hakan Atamtürk and General Coordinator Görkem Bulunç joined the Chairman of the NEU Board of Trustees Assoc. Prof. Dr. İrfan Günsel at the celebration, which took place over breakfast.

Memories came back to life…

In addition to the above, it was revealed that the graduates which gathered to celebrate the success of the Cup, the getting together also brought back memories, causing graduates to feel both the joy of the cup and the joy of their memories regarding the years they spent at NEU while studying. At the end of the get together, a photo was taken all together with the cup which the NEU Women’s Basketball Team had won.
