Near East University Faculty of Medicine Attended One Million Global Catheter Prevalence Research

Near East University Hospital of Faculty of Medicine (www.neareasthospital.com) contributed to the One Million Global Catheter Prevalence Research organized by Gillian Ray Barruel from Australia.

According to a press statement released by Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, data collection stage of the One Million Global Catheter Prevalence Research that was carried out throughout the world has been completed recently. The only hospital participating in this research was Hospital of Near East University from Cyprus. From around the world, 50 countries and 410 hospitals participated in the research. The first data collected throughout the research will be presented at Conference of Australian Vascular Access Society in Brisbane, Australia, and then in World Congress for Vascular Access in Lisbon, Portugal, in June 2016. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Kaya Süer from Department of Clinical Microbiology and Infectious Diseases and Specialist Nurse Dilek Baytaş from Infection Control Committee participated in the research from Hospital of NEU and first group of data from Hospital of NEU was sent to centre of research in June.

Certificates sent for participants were presented to participants by Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ on behalf of Gillian Ray Barruel.
