Near East University Faculty of Engineering has been accredited and awarded with EUR-ACE label by ENAEE (European Network for Accreditation of Engineering Education). Based in Brussels, ENAEE is the top European network that authorizes accreditation and quality assurance agencies to award the EUR-ACE label to accredited engineering degree programs of a higher education institution.
The programs offered by Near East University Faculty of Engineering were previously accredited by ASIIN e. V. (Accreditation Agency for Degree Programs in Engineering, Informatics, the Natural Sciences and Mathematics), which is an international accreditation agency that based in Germany.
Education at top standards of Europe……
EUR-ACE label, which is awarded by ENAEE, requires the fulfillment of a series of measure that specified in the EUR-ACE Framework Standards to ensure the quality standards of engineering programs in Europe and other countries. A higher education institution is required to fulfill the engineering accreditation criteria as specified in EUR-ACE Framework Standards that cover the Student Workload Requirements, Program Outcomes and Program Management for Bachelor and Master Degree programs respectively. EUR-ACE label demonstrates that the learning outcomes and criteria specified for accreditation of engineering degree programs meet the standards set out in the EUR-ACE framework. EUR-ACE label provides verification of high quality engineering education and assurance that a graduate’s knowledge, understanding and practical capabilities meet European standards. A total of ten Bachelor and Master Degree programs offered by the departments affiliated with Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences of Near East University have been granted EUR-ACE label by ENAEE. Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering departments of Near East University Faculty of Engineering and Department of Computer Information Systems of Near East University Faculty of Economics & Administrative Sciences have been awarded with EUR-ACE accreditation certificate by ENAEE. This demonstrates that Near East University offers education at top standards of Europe.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of NEU, many programs offered by departments affiliated with Near University have been accredited by ACPE, JCI, EDEXEL, ASIIN and other prestigious international accreditation bodies so far. A total of 10 more Bachelor and Master Degree programs offered by four departments of NEU Faculty of Engineering and one department of NEU Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences have been accredited recently and awarded with EUR-ACE label by ENAEE.

Delivering information regarding the issue, Near East University vice Rector Prof. Dr. Fahreddin Sadıkoğlu gave the good news of receiving accreditation for 10 Bachelor and Master Degree programs that offered by the Faculty of Engineering departments of Computer Engineering, Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering. Professor Sadıkoğlu underlined that the accredited programs have been awarded with EUR-ACE label by ENAEE. “The international accreditation of engineering programs offered by NEU’s respective departments demonstrates that Near East University offers engineering education at European standards. Preliminary assessment reports covering education and research activities of our respective departments were prepared for accreditation process. Reports were viewed by European experts, commissions from different European universities visited Near East University and conducted on-site audits by reviewing the logics and efficacy of the qualification process within a degree program and its compliance with Student Workload Requirements, Program Outcomes and Program Management as specified in EUR-ACE Framework Standards. Being accredited after this evaluation process, demonstrates once again that Near East University is a fully equipped higher education institution that ensures high quality in education” said he. Underlining that Near East University dedicated all its achievements to the society and country, Professor Sadıkoğlu noted that EUR-ACE label that awarded to NEU Faculty of Engineering Bachelor and Master Degree programs by ENAAE is a significant indicator demonstrating that education standards in TRNC meet the standard requirements set by European accreditation bodies for higher education.
