Near East University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences pays a courtesy visit to the Association for Orthopedically Handicapped People

Upon the invitation of Günay Kibrit, Chairman of Cyprus Turkish Association for Orthopedically Handicapped People, Near East University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences paid a courtesy visit to the association.

According to the press info delivered by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, a thank certification was presented to the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences in recognition their contribution to the "blue bottle cap" project carried out within the body of the association in the academic year of 2017-2018.

A group of faculty members including the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Professor Şerife Z. Eyüpoğlu, Deputy Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nur Köprülü, Deputy Director of Social Sciences Graduate School, Asst. Prof. Dr. Behiye Çavuşoğlu and the Counsellor of the Students Club of the Faculty, Exp. İmren Gürbaşar paid a courtesy visit to Cyprus Turkish Association for Orthopedically Handicapped People and had the opportunity to tour the building and receive information about the services offered by the association.

Günay Kibrit: "All services and possibilities offered by the association are realized by virtue of charity events and grants"
Welcoming the delegation in his office, the Chairman of the Association for Orthopedically Handicapped People, Günay Kibrit underlined the key role of the charity events and grants in enabling them to sustain their services and provide opportunities for those in needs. "All charity events, which are carried out voluntarily, as well as the grants have a significant role in assisting us to maintain the existence of the association. I would like to take this opportunity and extend my cordial appreciations to everyone who provided contribution so far" said he.

In her remarks, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Dean Prof. Dr. Şerife Z. Eyüpoğlu expressed her satisfaction with the invitation and underlined that they, as Near East University, were always ready to provide contribution to the activities carried out by the association.

"This visit provided us with opportunity to witness the services of the association on-site. The association's infrastructure that equipped with the latest technology, the services and spiritual support provided by the association have impressed us a lot. The association's devotion to sustaining charity events in benefit of the persons with special needs has driven us to keep our contributions ongoing by organizing many other activities. I would like to extend my appreciations to Mr. Kibrit in recognition of his distinguished efforts towards facilitating the life for the persons with special needs" said she.

The faculty members of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences expressed their happiness of witnessing that the building of the association was a rehabilitation center rather than a management center. The faculty members also underlined that they were highly pleased with the efforts exerted by the association in various fields in order to meet the needs of the people with special needs. Congratulating Günay Kibrit, the Chairman of Cyprus Turkish Association for Orthopedically Handicapped People, they wished him continued success.
