Multiculturalism and Integrity of Cyprus Universities Evaluated...
The research of the Near East University faculty members titled "The Opinions and Expectations of Turkish and Foreign Students Studying at Northern Cyprus Universities towards Multicultural and Inclusive / Integrated Education Environments" was published in the Education Sciences Journal scanned in Web of Science and Scopus.

According to the information provided by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, the results of the joint research conducted by the faculty members of the Department of Turkish Language Teaching Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yeniasır, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Gökbulut and Prof. Dr. Esra Karabacak's was published in the Journal of Education Sciences. The research study focuses on, in particular, the situation of the universities in Cyprus regarding multiculturalism and how the universities deal with the social inclusion.

The research will contribute to the creation of multi-cultural inclusive / integrated education environments, especially in small island countries such as Cyprus. According to the results of the research, it is seen that some issues should be given importance in order to improve the multicultural and inclusive / integrated education in Northern Cyprus. The research on foreign and Turkish students studying at universities in Cyprus took into consideration the implementation of the laws and regulations in Europe and universities in European countries and universities, taking into account the implementation of these laws and regulations in cooperation with the government and university administrations. The study emphasized the necessity of the cooperation among the institutions and governments, in addition, it was seen that very few scientific studies on multiculturalism in Northern Cyprus have so far been conducted.

Multicultural Education needs to be improved…
In order to eliminate the problems that exist in universities related to multicultural and inclusive / integrated education environments, it is necessary to provide the lecturers and prospective teachers with necessary training. It was also emphasized that there is the need to provide teacher candidates with the skills needed to design learning environments for students coming from different cultures and students with different social characteristics.

In addition, in the research, it was emphasized that social, sportive and academic activities should be given importance in order to ensure a social environment where the students from different cultures can get to know each other better and attach importance to effective orientation days so that students who are enrolled to universities can adapt to the environment faster, and it was also pointed out that a more comfortable living environment should also be provided.
