Kemalettin Tuğcu stories make it easier to learn Turkish
Faculty members Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yeniasır and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Gökbulut analyzed the stories written by Kemalettin Tuğcu for children aged 12-14 through the “Story Map Method”. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Yeniasır and Gökbulut found that Tuğcu’s stories provided an important benefit in teaching Turkish to children more easily. When read with the story map method, child readers, by noticing unnecessary details more easily, can take an active role in remembering the story, rearranging it according to themselves, putting forward certain ideas and making sense of it.

Özker Yaşın draws attention with his effort to keep national consciousness awake.
Writing a review article on Özker Yaşın’s novel “We Connected the Road from Kyrenia”, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Yeniasır and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Burak Gökbulut pointed out that the Turkish Cypriot writer Özker Yaşın’s work attempted to keep national consciousness awake as well as prioritizing moral values, teaching them to children, young people and the Turkish Cypriot community in general.

Children of the Green Island inspire children
Academicians, who have also analysed the novel “The Children of the Green Island”, pointed out that the work focuses on the conflicts between the Turkish and Greek communities at the individual and social level. The main theme of the work is the theme of friendship developed against this conflict. Despite the tough struggles between Turks and Greeks, the friendship and love of Cengiz and Yorgo inspires children who read the novel.
