Near East University Department of Music Education hosted a World-Renowned Star: A Recital and Workshop given by Ayşegül Koca

Near East University Atatürk Faculty of Education Department of Music Education hosted a world-renowned star Ayşegü Koca, who has international awards, has provided a guitar workshop open to all guitar players within the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Vice Rector of Near East University; Prof.Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, Head of Department of Music Education, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ertem Nalbantoğlu, Academic Member, Prof. Dr. Sibel Çoban, Academic members of the Department attended the workshop, which was organised by the Academic Members of the Department of Music Education Guitar Specialists Dr. Erkan Sülün and Ünal Dede.

An intensive interest was shown to the workshop provided by Ayşegül Koca...

The workshop was provided by Ayşegül Koca, a world-renowned figure who has won many prestigious awards at international competitions and who has given concerts in fifteen different countries. It was pointed out that the moderator of the workshop was NEU Academic Member Dr. Erkan Sülün and there was an intensive interest shown to the workshop.

The mini concert given by Ayşegül Koca was stunning...

It was expressed that Ayşegül Koca shared valuable information and insights regarding guitars and directly worked with a Master’s student and 3 undergraduate students at the workshop. Prior to the workshop, Ayşegül Koca gave a mini concert and stunned the audience. She placed Mallorca I.Albeniz; Fantasie by F. Fossa and İndim Yarın Bahçasına arrangement made by C. Üstüntaş.

According to the statement made by the Department of Music Education, the Department will continue to make contributions to students of the Department of Music Education and the Near East University as a whole, alongside providing cultural and artistic events for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
