Near East University Communication Research Center represented TRNC in two different scientific events

The Near East University Communication Research Center represented the TRNC at the “II. International Turkic World Communication and Art Symposium” held by Niğde Ömer Halis Demir University, Turkic World Journalists Federation and Turkic World Culture, Art and Cinema Foundation, and at the “9th International Management and Social Sciences Congress held and supported by Missouri University from Colombia, Celal-Abad State University from Kyrgyzstan, and Abuja University from Nigeria.

Universities from the Turkic world met at the symposium
Many universities from the Turkic world took part in the “International Turkish World Communication and Art Symposium” where the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus was represented by the Near East University. The symposium, which was held with wide participation, was attended and supported by the Near East University, Azerbaijan Baku State University, Azerbaijan State Civilization and Fine Arts University, Al-Farabi Kazak State University, Kazak T. Zhurgenov National Art Academy, Kyrgyzstan-Turkey Manas University, Uzbekistan State National Academy of Arts, Uzbekistan Journalism and Mass Communication University, Karabük University, Bozok University, Selçuk University, Gümüşhane University, Turkish World Culture, Art and Cinema Foundation, Cinema and Art Foundation, Niğde Journalists and Writers Association.

Four papers were presented at two events
In the symposium and congress, three different papers prepared by the faculty members of the Faculty of Communication of the Near East University and doctoral students of the Near East University were presented. The paper titled “An Investigation on Land Ownership and Feudal Culture Discussions in Turkish Cinema” was presented by Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap, Dr. Serkan Fundalar and Prof. Dr. Ahmet Güneyli from the Near East University Faculty of Communication. The study titled “A Study on the Content-Symbol Relationship in TV Series Broadcasted in Turkey: Atiye Series” prepared by Prof. Dr. Kasap with his doctoral student Çağlayan Dursun, and the study titled “The Contribution of Cinema to the Establishment of an Environment of Peace in Cyprus; An Analysis on the Movie My Milk Dad” prepared by Prof. Dr. Kasap and his doctoral student İltaç Aslım were also presented as a paper.

The presentation of the study titled “Evaluation of Trade Union Activities in the TRNC in the Context of Social Benefit” prepared by Prof. Dr. Fevzi Kasap and lecturer Mustafa Çaluda was also made at the 9th International Management and Social Sciences Congress.
