Near East Institute “New Agendas and Approaches in Turkish Foreign Policies” Educational Programme participation certificates were given

The certificate programme titled as “New Agendas and Approaches in Turkish Foreign Policies”, which was organised by the Near East Institute of Near East University and that lasted 5 weeks, was said to come to an end, and resultantly the participants of the programme were awarded their certificates.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the opening ceremony of the certificate program was held at the helm of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC) Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emine Çolak. Furthermore, it was acknowledged that renown figures in their fields of profession such as; Kadir Has University Rector, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Aydın, Academic Member of the Department of International Affairs of Kadir Has University, Prof. Dr. Mithat Çelikpala, Academic Member of Faculty of Law of Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Sanem Baykal, Academic Member of Department of International Affairs of Faculty of Political Sciences, Dr. Nuri Yeşilyurt, Academic Member of Department of International Affairs and Near East Institute Certificate Programme Directed by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Dayıoğlu, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Tufan Erhürman, shared their knowledge and contributed to the aforementioned certificate programme.

Some of the issues discussed at the programme was expressed to be concerned with historical development of the relations between Turkey and SSCB; relations between Turkey and Russia/SSCB during the AK Political Party reign and; regional and international factors which affect bilateral relations; relations between TRNC and Turkey and latest developments on the Cyprus issue; relations between Turkey and Caucasus and relations between Turkey and Central Asia; relations between Turkey and the Middle East; Turkey and EU; EU-Cyprus; and EU-Greece. Moreover, it was revealed that the certificate programme had received a high number of participants including staff of; TRNC governmental institutions, civil society organisations, the private sector and students.

Additionally, it was revealed that the Head of Director of Near East Institute, Umut Koldaş; Certificate Programme Directed by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Dayıoğlu; and Academic Member of Faculty of Law of Ankara University, Prof. Dr. Sanem Baykal had awarded the certificate of participation to the participants subsequent to the completion of the “New Agendas and Approaches in Turkish Foreign Policies”.
