Graduation Excitement is continuing at the NEU!

Faculty of Engineer of Near East University (NEU) has given its graduates for the Fall Term of the Academic Year 2015-2016.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Founding Rector of Near East University; Vice Rectors Tümer Garip; Prof. Dr. Fahreddin Sadıkoğlu; Prof.Dr. Şenol Bektaş; Dean of Faculty of Engineering, Prof. Dr. Ali Ünal Şorman; other NEU Deans; academic members; students and guests attended the graduation ceremony of the Faculty of Engineering..

It was stated that the ceremony had started with one minute of silence, followed by the national anthem. This was later followed by the mini-recital given by the Department of Music and members of the Faculty of Engineering. Subsequently, a short film was presented by the students of the Faculty of Engineering.

Following the screening of the short-film, it was stated that the dux and other high-honour students of the Faculty of Engineering made speeches, both in Turkish and English.

Moreover, in his speech Dean of Faculty of Engineering of Near East University, Prof. Dr. Ali Ünal Şorman, expressed that they, as the NEU Faculty of Engineering, were graduating a total of 237 students for the Fall Term and that this had made them very proud. He pointed out to the fact that their students had been working very hard, day and night, and today’s achievement was the result of their relevant efforts.

Also making a speech, Vice Rector Prof.Dr. Fahreddin Sadıkoğlu stressed that a graduation day was one of the most special days in our lives; since one part of our lives ended, while another started. He emphasised that the students graduating that day had received their education at a valuable university, constantly evolving for its students.

He further said: “We would like to inform you that throughout your educational lives at the NEU, highly esteemed academic members of the faculty have been working very hard to provide the best possible education for you and please remember that our only wish is to see your success. I would like to sincerely congratulate you all and wish you the best of luck and success in your future days to come!”
