Faculty of Communication of Near East University has given its graduates for the Fall Term of the Academic Year 2015-2016

The exhibition of the projects of the students of Department of Visual Communication and Design was visited.

The graduation ceremony for the fall term of the academic year 2015-2016 of the Faculty of Communication of Near East University was actualised in orange hall of the Faculty building.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Vice Rector of NEU, Prof. Dr. Şenol Bektaş; Prof. Dr. Orhan Çiftçi from NEU Institute; Dean Representative of Faculty of Communication, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci, NEU Heads of Departments; Academic Members; students and guests attended the graduation ceremony.

It was further expressed that the graduation ceremony had started with one minute’s silence, followed by the national anthem. Subsequently, Taha B., freshmen at the Department of TV Technology and Radio; and Gökalp Yamen from Department of Radio, TV and Cinema gave a mini concert to the guests at the ceremony. This was later followed by graduates’ taking their oaths.

Additionally, it was expressed that Representative Dean of NEU Faculty of Communication Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gökçe Keçeci had made a speech, emphasising the significance of the day. Moreover, Gökçe stated that the academic staff of the faculty was highly competent and that recently the faculty had recruited new academic staff who were surely to even strengthen the staff even further. She further said that the students of the faculty were from six different countries and therefore had an international student profile. She ended her words by stating that they, as the NEU Faculty of Communication, were rather happy and honoured to be raising competent individuals in their fields who also had a sense for social responsibility.


Speaking on behalf of the graduating students, Tarık Ferik, graduate of Department of Visual Communication and Design, expressed that over the years he had lived many memorable and productive moments at the NEU and ended his words by expressing many thanks to the academic staff of the Department and wished his fellow students the best of luck. It was expressed that following the above stated speeches, the graduates were presented their diplomas. Then, the exhibition where students’ projects were exhibited was visited.
