Today´s powerful new tools enable researchers to construct novel experiments in a wide range of fields—from basic biomedical research to biotechnology and medicine.

Using most emergence of new gene editing techniques such as CRISPR/Cas9 and others has allowed researchers to quickly create knock-in, knock-outs and mutations of any gene in any cell line or organism with high efficiency for experimental research to increase human knowledge and contribute to finding solutions to biological and biomedical questions.

Therefore, we organized this course to introduce most commonly used experimental animal models for genome engineering. The objective of this course is to introduce the researchers as well as the students to the field of functional medical studies and the use of artificial evolution to draw out new properties. During this course, the participants will learn advanced investigation methods in biomedical sciences as well as the theoretical and practical notions on genome engineering and experimental animal applications.

The certificate will be given after the course and the language will be in English.

The registration fee is 250 TL for NEU members and students and 750 TL for non-NEU members and students. The course is limited for 50 participants.
