Environmental Projects From Department of Public Relations and Promotion

Various social responsibility studies have been carried out by Department of Public Relations and Promotion under Faculty of Communication since 2005 and most of these studies are on the environmental subjects.

According to a press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of the Near East University, the recycling projects has first time started with the "Blue Cap" project in 2011 and continued since then. The caps collected throughout the application of this project used to provide wheel chairs for disabled persons.

The project was organised and carried out by Ufuk Altunç, lecturer of the Department of Public Relations and Promotion of Faculty of Communication, and students of the department. The results of the project not only provided significant support to the disabled people but raised environmental awareness at a certain level.
