Near East University Medical Students’ Association is hosting the student exchange group for medical internship that realized for the first time this year in cooperation with Turkish Medical Students’ International Committee (TURKMSIC).

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, within the frame of the protocol that signed by Near East University Medical Students’ Association (NEUMSA) and Turkish Medical Students’ International Committee (TURKMSIC), 25 students receiving medical education at various universities in Turkey can do their medical internships at Near East University Hospital while NEU Faculty of Medicine students can do medical internship at various university hospitals in Turkey.

Young doctor candidates from 14 different Turkish universities will come to Near East University……

Within the terms and provisions set by the protocol, 25 students from medicine faculties of various Turkish Universities including Uludağ University, Hacettepe University, Gaziantep University, Çukurova University, Mersin University, Istanbul Science University, Süleyman Demirel University, Trakya University, Yeditepe University, Yıldırım Beyazıt University, Ufuk University, Marmara University, Kırıkkale University and Maltepe University can do internships within different periods at Near East University Hospital. On July 11, 17 young doctor candidates began to do their medical internships on different specialties at Near East University Hospital. By virtue of this exchange program, young doctor candidates can do internship and enhance their medical knowledge and skills by getting hands-on experience and get an idea about TRNC and our culture through excursions in their free time.

Medical students, who have already begun to do internship at NEU Hospital within the frame of the protocol regarding medical internship in summer, extended their appreciations to Near East University and the teaching staff for providing them with all possibilities required for a thorough medical internship.
