Business Representatives and Students came together on Campus…Career Days of Near East University was held

Career Days were organized by the Dean of Students of the Near East University in order to build a bridge between the business world and the students aiming to start a career in the business life. The Career Days program, which is traditionally carried out every year to determine students' careers and help to develop their future plans, took 2 days this year.

According to a press statement made by Near East University Press and Public Relations Directorate, students came together with 30 senior executives of 30 companies in different fields such as communication sector, tourism, banking, business, mobile communication and media sector. Students have the opportunity to meet the representatives of the business sector and get information in line with their personal career goals.Interviews on work and internship issues were held at the stands located outside the Near East University Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

In Career Days, where the interest was intense, students had the opportunity to ask questions about their future with the participating companies.

Career, job opportunities and how to obtain success was told...
AISEC gave information within the scope of career days about how students can reach their internship and job opportunities abroad.

A career panel titled "Is our success our Career in Life?" was held in order to help students decide on their future plans. Students at the panel learned about achieving success in their career path and develop their ability to cope with stress.

MASDER chief Aycan Garip, pointed out the issues such as the social entrepreneurship, projects, workshops, training, overseas observation trips and how to take advantage of internship opportunities.

During the Career Days, students were also informed about one Vodafone Digitization Trends. İnci Moreket from Telsim Human Resources said that they aimed to enable students to discover their potential with a unique experience opportunity in a global company, while providing information about working life and internship opportunities at Vodafone, stepping into the world of telecommunication sector which is fast, competitive, entertaining and challenging to the limits. Participants were also given the opportunity to ask questions about the topics they were interested in.

An interview with Merve Meral, Human Resources Manager of Concorde Hotel, who is one of the graduates of Near East University, was held.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz: "We want to guide our students through their career path..."
Near East University Dean of Students Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz said that the main purpose of the Career Days event is to introduce different companies to the students who are part of the Near East University family and to promote their professional life.

Pointing out that they aim to provide the students with detailed information about their future career paths, Özkum said they want to ensure that their students make their careers in line with their choice and interests. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özkum Yavuz, "In this event, the students were informed about the direction of their personal curiosity, the team spirit they are expected to work with, the skillsneeded to solve problems in business life and group dynamics that require mastery of career."

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dudu Özkum Yavuz added that they have organized various career activities throughout the academic year in order to explore the different sectors and business areas for their students, and to provide their students with opportunities to make conscious choices, to find work and internship as well as getting the necessary equipment for the preparation of the business life, and to answer the questions related to the future of the students.
