Organised by the Caucasus University Association, the 3rd International Symposium on Young Perspectives on Caucasia was realised at the University of Mohaghegh Ardabili, Iran.

According to the press info release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the symposium was realised to commemorate Shah İsmail Hatayi and 75 postgraduate students studying at universities under the body of the Caucasus University Association presented their papers via 3 separate panels. These students were said to be from Faculties of Arts and Sciences, Social Sciences and Health Sciences.

It was pointed out that the postgraduate students were from Iran, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia, Belarus, Russia, Kirghizstan, Ukraine and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus. Furthermore, the papers submitted were said to have been evaluated by specialists from each field. Resultantly, Near East University Postgraduate Student studying in Faculty of Architecture, Şebnem Golkarian’s paper was awarded as the only paper chosen in its field. Her paper titled as “The Impact of Identity; Manifestation of Culture in The Built Environment, and Consequences of Lack of Identity” was awarded as the only paper in the field of architecture and she has successfully represented the Near East University, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus at an international platform.
