UCTEA (union of chambers of Turkish engineers and architects) Chamber of Interior Architects Chairperson Emrah Kaymak along with the 2nd Chairperson Ömer Sencar and the Board member Sıla Özdemir participated in "Interior Architectural Conversations 1" held at Near East University Grand Library. The event provided forum for the participants to share their views regarding the profession of interior architecture.

According to the info released by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations Office of Near East University, Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Kurt participated in the event which provided opportunity to share information regarding interior architecture education, professional business life, professional ethics and the duties and responsibilities of the Chamber of Interior Architects.

Sharing his views at "Interior Architectural Conversations 1", which was realized with great participation, Emrah Kaymak answered the questions of students and faculty members and received great interest of the attending body.

Chamber of Interior Architects, to which Sıla Özdemir, graduate of the Department of Interior Architecture of Near East University, Faculty of Architecture is a Board member, is known as one of the first interior architecture organizations having chamber status across the world.

Starting its activities under the name of the Turkish Association of Interior Architects in 1975, the Chamber of Interior Architects joined the Union of Chambers of Turkish Engineers and Architects (UCTEA) as the 18th chamber and since then, it has been in the status of chamber in the world with its 43 years long established structure. Besides, the Chamber of Interior Architects of Turkey has been a full member of International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) since 2011. UCTEA Chamber of Interior Architects aims to lead the Interior Architecture discipline into the future by acting as a forum attaching importance on the improvement of the profession of interior architecture, the conservation of the professional rights and dignity of its members, and the exchange and development of knowledge and experience.
