The health issues of all tourists visiting North Cyprus were taken under assurance of NEU Hospital through the protocol signed between the NEU Hospital and the tour operator bringing tourists to North Cyprus, at the ITB Berlin which is regarded as the largest tourism fair of the world.

According to a press statement released by the Press and Public Relations Directorate of Near East University, the protocol which takes the the health of tourists who will be coming to North Cyprus from over 40 countries including Germany, Holland, Hungary, Iran, Austria, Great Britain, Sweden, Finland, was signed and announced to public at the ITB Berlin which this year brought 10,147 tourism foundations and institutions, 113 thousand visitors and 6000 journalists together from 189 countries.

The aim is creating the image of a "Safe Country in Health"...

The protocol, which aims to improve the global image of North Cyprus, bring in qualified tourists to North Cyprus and ensure that the North Cyprus Tourism Brand is regarded as the "safe country in health", was signed between Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu, Minister of Tourism of TRNC, Ahmet Savaşan, General Director of NEU Tourism Enterprises and Member of Executive Board of NEU Hospital, and general directors of Northern Travel Cyprus, DMG Group, Unique Cyprus Travel, Akmina Travel, Mouflon Travel and Puzzle Travel.

Sucuoğlu: Protocol will make positive contributions to bring in qualified tourists to our country...
Dr. Faiz Sucuoğlu, Minister of Tourism, delivered a speech at the protocol ceremony and said "Taking the health of tourists coming to our country under assurance by the Hospital of Near East University, which provides the best possible health services at the international standards, will lead to preference of our country by the tourists belonging to third age group and thus contribute to promotion of our country to attract more qualified tourists."

Savaşan: North Cyprus has all the features...

Ahmet Savaşan, pointing out the importance of the protocol regarding the health of tourists, said in his speech "North Cyprus hospitals each designed as smart buildings with the highest possible comfort, specialist doctors using the latest and most advanced technologies and knowledge so far reached in the health and medicine issues, price advantages offered due to international accreditations and protocols make the North Cyprus one of the most proper countries for health tourism." Savaşan also emphasized that over 1,5 billion people living only 4-5 hours away by flight has a huge advantage in health tourism now as they have already made new agreements and signed protocols with many countries of the world, including health issues such as cancer, heart, dental, aesthetic and in-vitro fertilization and so on.
