As part of the Near East University Quality and Accreditation Coordinate activities, a conference was held on program accreditation and assuring quality where issues regarding the establishment of quality standards at higher education and making necessary adaptations for international qualities determined were discussed.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, Near East University Higher Education Quality and accreditation Coordinate held a meeting regarding the accreditation of education and training programs offered. Evaluation and Accreditation of Educational Programs for Engineering Association and an Evaluator from the Higher Education Quality and Accreditation Board, Prof. Dr. Fatma Çiğdem Güldür gave a conference themed as “Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Educational Programs”.

It was stated that during her speech, Prof. Dr. Güldür provided details regarding the educational aims, work and projects, evaluation criteria, infrastructure and support of the Evaluation and Accreditation of Educational Programs for Engineering Association. Additionally, it was pointed out that many academicians from different units of the Near East University, Deans, Academic Members had attended the conference where they found the opportunity to be informed of the processes of accreditation and issues and experiences encountered.
