Academic Members of Faculty of Medicine of Near East University have identified significant preliminary findings regarding the connective tissue lesions

The preliminary findings of the joint study carried out by Academic Members of the Faculty o Medicine of Near East University and Mayo Clinic, which is a world renowned non-profit medical practice and medical research centre based in Rochester, Minnesota, has been presented in the Individualized Medicine 2016 meeting. The preliminary findings obtained via the joint study that was carried out with the Clinical Genomics Department of Mayo Clinic has been expressed to involve examination into connective tissue lesion, a rare entity known as “Arterial Tortuosity Syndrome”.

According to the press release issued by the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, the moderator of the research was member of Mayo Clinic Individualized Medicine Centre Prof. Dr. Eric W. Klee and Academic Member of Department of Histology and Embryology of Near East University, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şehime G. Temel.
