Two Presentations by the NEU Faculty of Architecture

It was revealed that the NEU Faculty of Architecture was successfully represented at two significant congresses.

According to the press info release from the Directorate of Press and Public Relations of Near East University, NEU Faculty of Architecture was successfully represented at the symposium themed as “ Interdisciplinary Approaches in Interior Design” by the Academic Member of Department of Interior Design, Şefika Karaderi Özsoy, with her presentation titled as “ The impact of psychological factors on interior design of the preschool education institutions”.

In her presentation Şefika Karaderi Özsoy said: " Architecture and interior design are a field that do not exist on their on, but rather operate inter-disciplinarily. Some of these disciplines include urban and regional planning, landscaping, civil engineering, electrical-electronic, sociology, psychology, philosophy, textile, art, sculpture, graphics, ceramics and fine arts. My presentation considers and comprises all of the above disciplines and emphasises that in order to reach the most effective course of design, one needs to work interdisciplinary and be aware of the essence of integrating interdisciplinary approaches into interior design.”

Further to the above, the NEU Faculty of Architecture was also successfully represented at the 1st International Engineering, Architecture and Design Congress, which was held at Kocaeli. Academic Member of the NEU Faculty of Architecture, Çimen Özburak, represented the Near East University with her presentation titled as “The scrutinisation of the Certificate criteria of ecological structure in relation to Pre-School Education Centres and the construction of local criteria for the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.”
