Two Painting Exhibitions, which feature a total of 70 Paintings exclusively prepared for Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by 11 Kazakh Artists, was opened by Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Economy and Energy

Featuring a total of 70 paintings exclusively made for Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts by 11 Kazakh artists Yasbı Agıtayen, Sagın Abzalov, Manas Kazıkeyev, Darıya Kasteyeva, Marat Gabdrakhmanov and Nelli Bube, Rakhimzhan Sadygulov, Mukhit Murzaliyev, Tileuzhan Batanov, Nurbolat İskakov and Gleb Antochshenko Olenev, two group exhibitions were opened by Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Economy and Energy.

These distinguished exhibitions reveal a wide range of painting styles depicting the extraordinary vision of artists. The art-lovers will witness how these talented artists unveil their creative spirit in their works.

The opening ceremony of the two painting exhibitions held at the Exhibition Hall of the Faculty of Communication was realized with the participation of TRNC Economy and Energy Minister Hasan Taçoy, Near East University Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel, vice Rector Professor Tamer Şanlıdağ, Graduate School Directors, artists and guests.

The opening remarks were delivered respectively by Near East University vice Rector Professor Tamer Şanlıdağ, Mukhit Murzaliev and Marat Gabdrakhmanov, on behalf the Kazakh artists, and Hasan Taçoy, Minister of Economy and Energy.

Within 10 months 31 Art Workshops were realized and more than 12 Thousand of Artworks were produced for Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, all of which were exhibited via more than 100 Exhibitions...
Underlining that Kazakhstan was gaining respect for the wealth of artistic expression generated in this fascinating part of the world that located at the crossroads of Asia and Eastern Europe, vice Rector Professor Tamer Şanlıdağ stated that the rich texture of the traditional culture and the vigor of the country combined to create a fascinating array of artistic expression that weaves together the old and the new starting from the traces of the Kazakh legends. The aesthetic quests and all these developments had reflected in the styles of Kazakh painting and opened a new era in the art of painting. This vibrant movement of art of painting is a clear indicator that the creative spirit of art embraces all styles including traditional folk, national style, realism, impressionism and abstraction" noted he.

Expressing that 31 art workshops had been realized and more than 12 thousand of artworks created within the scope of Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts project, Professor Şanlıdağ highlighted that all artworks that created within the scope of the project were exhibited via more than 100 exhibitions that held in the last 10 months.

Stating that it was also a distinctive source of pride and happiness for the artists to involve in the project and work to create artworks for the museum, Professor Şanlıdağ underlined that they shared this pride and happiness all together.

Mukhit Murzaliev: "We are honored to be a Part of Cyprus Museum of Modern Art Project ”
Speaking on behalf of Kazakh artists, Mukhit Murzaliev stated that they were honored to bei a part of Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts designed to house and exhibit an outstanding collection of distinguished artworks reflecting the history, tradition and culture of 14 Turkic republics and communities.

"During the symposium, we had the opportunity to open up new perspectives and reflect our potentials in our works. We also had the opportunity to meet artists from different countries, work together and gain experience from their talents. I would like to take this opportunity and extend our gratitude to mainly the Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel and Near East Family for providing such an atmosphere full of friendship, art and mutual understanding. We hope that the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts will ensure the continuation of our cooperation and friendship and will constitute a ground for the emergence of new art schools, styles and techniques. I wish unfading inspiration and energy for all artists and a healthy life and success for everyone" noted he.

Marat Gabdrakhmanov: "Shining a Light on the World of Art through His/her Artworks taking place in the Collection of a Museum is the Dream of Every Artist"
Speaking on behalf of his fellow Kazakh artists, Marat Gabdrakhmanov stated that they were honored and very happy to be a part of the Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts project. "It is a distinguished source of pride and happiness for us to have our artworks included in the collection of the museum designed to reflect solely Turkic art and culture. Every artist dreams to shine a light on the world of art through his/her artworks taking place in the collection of a museum. We are extremely grateful to the Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel for enabling us to make our dreams true. I wish him endless success in every step that he takes towards opening new horizons for his country and Turkic art" noted he.

Minister Taçoy: "Our Country, which is under embargoes, has broken all embargoes and exceeded her boundaries through the activities carried out by Near East University"
Stating that he had attended many exhibitions held at Near East University within the scope of Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts project, Minister Taçoy underlined that art was the expression of aesthetics and emotions from the vision and perspective of artists.

"Art knows no boundaries. In this aspect, art has a crucial role in promoting our country despite of all imposed embargoes. Art is for people to understand each other. It is another world that describes the world we live in via different emotions. It is for realizing social and universal peace. Art is the expression of aesthetics and emotions allowing peoples with different social, cultural and traditional values to understand each other. In this regard, art has the potential to bring together different mentality and understandings together and integrate them.

Our country, which has been under embargoes for years, has broken all political embargoes and exceeded the borders with Near East University's outstanding accomplishments in the field of art, sports, science, education, technology, innovation and health. Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts, which is scheduled to be opened on 15 November, 2020, will be an art temple reflecting solely Turkic art and culture. We are talking about a collection of 20 thousand of masterpieces. It is clear that this number will be exceeded by 2020. Even with the number of works currently available in the collection of the museum, Cyprus Museum of Modern Arts stands far beyond of many famous modern museums. This is realized thanks to Suat Hodja's (Founding Rector Dr. Suat Günsel) broad vision and endless energy and his devotion to his country. I would like to extend my appreciations mainly to Suat Hodja and everyone who provided contribution to this significant event" said he

Certificates of Appreciation were presented to the Artists, Exhibition Ribbon was cut...
Following the opening remarks, the artists were presented certificates of appreciation by Economy and Energy Minister Hasan Taçoy. Then the ribbon cut and the art-lovers toured the exhibition. The exhibition at the exhibition hall of the Faculty of Communication will be open for visits between 08:00-16:00 hours on weekdays till 27 September, 2019.
