Near East University and Manisa Celal Bayar University have renewed their academic and scientific collaboration with a new collaboration protocol!

Near East University continues to strengthen its international collaboration network with the protocols it has signed with Manisa Celal Bayar University, one of Turkey’s well-established higher education institutions. An academic collaboration protocol was signed between Near East University and Manisa Celal Bayar University at the protocol ceremony held with the participation of university rectors.

Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar and Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ, who came to the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus within the scope of the “Barrier-Free Informatics Days” organized under the leadership of the TRNC Barrier-Free Informatics Platform within the Near East University Social Research and Development Center, signed an academic collaboration protocol that will strengthen higher education in Turkey and the TRNC, and renewed their long-standing collaboration.

At the ceremony, Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar was accompanied by Manisa Celal Bayar University Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Çetin and Rector’s Advisor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Emine Ay, and Near East University Scientific Research Projects Coordinator Prof. Dr. H. Seda Vatansever accompanied Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ.

Cultural interaction and social solidarity will be supported by developing educational programs!

The protocol, which will increase the sharing of knowledge and experience between universities, aims to strengthen academic, cultural and social collaborations. Within this scope, student and academician exchange programs, joint research projects and scientific events will be implemented. In addition, cultural interaction and social solidarity will be supported by developing joint educational programs between universities.

In his speech at the protocol signing ceremony, Near East University Rector Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ emphasized that this collaboration is not limited to the academic field only, but also covers many important issues such as scientific collaborations, project-oriented studies, faculty and student exchange. Prof. Dr. Şanlıdağ said, “We have had a harmonious cooperation with Manisa Celal Bayar University for many years. These strong relations have reached a sustainable point today.” Prof. Dr. Tamer Şanlıdağ also touched on the importance of awareness-raising events such as Barrier-Free Informatics Days and said, “By coming together on the occasion of such events, we try to be the voice of individuals experiencing problems and enable them to voice the difficulties they experience more strongly.”

Manisa Celal Bayar University Rector Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar expressed their great pleasure in being in the TRNC and said, “The fact that the Barrier-Free Informatics Days event has been going on for such a long time is also an indicator of the strong harmony between our universities. The positive results obtained show how productive these efforts are and that we are on the right track.”

Prof. Dr. Rana Kibar emphasized that with the protocol they signed, they took the cooperation between Near East University and Manisa Celal Bayar University into an institutional framework and said, “I believe that the protocol will provide significant contributions to both universities. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to this process and hope to undertake many more successful projects together.”
